Why a tandem twin-pump instead of a single 15 HP pump?
Redundancy: if one pump fails or needs service, the other keeps the shop running. Also lower peak current, softer starts, and the ability to run one pump during light-demand hours to save energy.
Can I run just one pump for smaller loads?
Yes. Each pump has its own pressure switch and motor contactor. Turn one off manually or set staggered pressure ranges so pump two only kicks in when pump one can't keep up.
