Frequently Asked Questions
10 HP with 500 L — how many tools at once?
1,210 L/min at 10 bar covers 2–3 mechanics running impact wrenches, ratchets and tire tools simultaneously without pressure sag. The 500 L receiver buffers short bursts of up to 5 tools.
How does the B7000 differ from the NV10 at the same 10 HP?
Both are 10 HP on a 500 L receiver. The ABAC B7000 is a cast-iron two-stage Italian pump head, while the NV10 is the standard head. Choose the B7000 when duty cycle is high and you want the longer-life pump.
Do I need a special foundation?
A level reinforced concrete pad with rubber anti-vibration pads is enough. Ensure floor drainage — the receiver produces condensate that must drain away safely.
Recommended electrical supply?
400 V three-phase / 50 Hz, roughly 7.5 kW at full load, 15 A per phase. Cable 4 × 4 mm² copper, 25–32 A three-phase breaker. Fit a phase-loss protection relay to prevent motor damage on power irregularities.
When should I move up to a rotary screw instead?
If you need continuous air for sandblasting, paint lines or a full production shift, a rotary screw from 20 HP upward is the better fit. This piston unit is built for intermittent workshop duty.
